Saturday morning at Camp Joy is always a little chaotic. We all wake up and start preparing for striking the camp. We road up to breakfast, then back down-stairs again to pack up, drop tents, load the trailer, etc. Things were a bit crazier this year, because we had Sat Morning Vespers to do as well. After loading the trailer and barely managing to pull it out of the lower camp(they “fixed” the road…ha), we got up to God’s Open Window and finished preparing for Vespers.
I won’t go into a lot of detail here, because you’ll be able to see our Vespers Service at the Camp Joy Service this Wednesday at 7pm in the Sanctuary. After Vespers we road out of camp and stopped for gas, snacks, etc., at Sheetz. Lunch was at McDonald’s in Annapolis and we rolled into CUMC about 3:45 to an awesome group of family and friends cheering and honking their horns for us.
Sunday was tent setup(for them to dry), tool sorting, and vehicle cleaning.
We had an awesome time, but it’s sure nice to be home in my own bed, shower, etc. Thanks for everything, the donations, the prayers, the support, the comments. We, Christ-Youth, could not do what we do without the help and support of the people back here in Salisbury, so THANKS AGAIN!!!!
Don’t Forget…
