First Night Was a BLAST!
Get it? Finger Rockets….a Blast? Sorry, bad pun….
The night started with our newbie meeting, and we had a truckload of newbs and newb parents. Overall the meeting went well, and nobody left during the middle of the meeting, so we must not have scared them too bad.
Our regular meeting started with our Finger-Rocket Extravaganza…man are those things fun!! We then moved our worship down to the Sanctuary, cuz Fellowship was a bit toasty. Afterwards we split and went our normal MS & HS directions. Each group nominated Youth 
Council Representatives and filled out info forms. HS talked about Purpose, Avenue Q & God’s plan for us. MS stressed out….so to speak. What a GREAT START to the year!!

I Know What You Did This Summer
Jeff, Melissa, Tori, and Carter traveled to Jamaica for a tropical get-away. While Melissa & Tori were spending time at the beach, Jeff & Carter were preparing to tour with Bob Marley.
Jennifer spent her summer at Kid’s Klub @ Pinehurst this summer. They especially had fun on “Try-The-Handcuffs-On” Day…
Joel & Debbie traveled to New York. Despite all appearances, they did not spend the entire weekend in the Hudson River….
Amy rode her horse, Skye, in a lot of Horse Shows this summer. Amy is the one with the black helmet on.
Janet, Joe & Sarah went to Kitty Hawk, NC, where Janet and Sarah metamorphosed into butterflies and later flew away.
Corrin and her family traveled to Niagra Falls. They are modeling the latest Canadian Fashion Rainwear.
Sam & family went to Niagra(also) and Toronto. Sam actually started at 2nd Base for the Blue Jays that night, going 2-4 with a RBI. Way to go Sam!!
