Sad News
I apologize for the early edition of Youth Stuff, but as most of you read this, I’ll be in route to Baton Rouge, LA for the funeral for my cousin, Marsha. I’m not sure what kind of internet access I’ll have in LA, so I figured I’d get this out early. Marsha, my father’s niece, had suffered greatly from a genetic disease known as Huntington’s Disease, and needless to say, her passing was truly a blessing, not only for her, but also for her family. It has been many years since I have been back to LA, so this was a good opportunity for me to not only support my father, but also see some of my “kin-folk”. I will return late on Friday, so I’ll see you all this weekend.

Logo Contest
Several weeks ago, I asked at Youth one night, if there were any artist’s, and I had several responses. In past year’s, Jenna M, has done our artwork, but as she has left for college, we now have an opportunity for a new artist to step forward.
So here’s the scoop… I’m looking for a logo for our HS Girl’s small group. The group’s name is G2 or G-Squared(basically a G with the little squared 2 attached).
Here’s the rules:
- The logo must incorporate the letter “G” and the squared “2″ thingey
- You can add additional clipart/artwork/design elements
- You can submit either black & white or color
- It doesn’t have to be a finished concept or drawing, it can be a rough idea or sketch
- The HS Girl’s Group will select the winning design
- You may submit as many logos as you wish
- Submissions must be in to me by Sunday October 26, 2008
