The Christ-Youth HS Ministry is for student’s currently in 9th – 12th grades. Led by Joel R. Smith and a team of awesome adult helpers, the HS Ministry meets on Sunday evenings from 6pm – 8pm. The HS Ministry does have some HS-Specific events and activities throughout the year. Some of these include:
IMPACT HS Rally
The IMPACT HS Rally is held in Ocean City in March/April every spring and is a HS only event. The Rally is a weekend-long worship event with bands, speakers, comedians, and classes specifically for HS age students. Approximately 3000 HS students and chaperone’s attend this event. HS Retreat
The HS Retreat is a Christ-Youth only event held at Camp Pecometh in the Spring. Camp Pecometh is a Methodist church camp located outside of Centreville, MD. The HS Retreat will be a weekend-long event based around a particular theme. The weekend will be filled with learning opportunities, games, art projects, lots of food, movies, and of course…free time. This event is open to 8th graders.
HS Mini-Golf
The HS Group typically goes Mini-golfing in the Summer, followed by a trip to Rita’s.
HS Flick-n-Float
Also in the Summer, the HS Group will have a Flick-n-Float, basically a pool party with a movie shown once it get dark.
