The Christ Youth MS Ministry is for students currently in 6th to 8th grade. We meet at the same time the HS group does, Sunday evenings from 6pm – 8pm, with Janet Benamati (Middle School Youth Leader) and her fantastic group of adult volunteers. In addition to our weekly meetings, the MS Ministry has some activities geared just for middle school students.
Alive! Middle School Rally
The Alive! Rally is held in Ocean City in November. Geared specifically for Middle School students, this weekend long event has a bit of everything: Worship, speakers, comedians, even ‘top of the charts’ bands.
Middle School Retreat
The Middle School Retreat held at CUMC every May, the Middle School Retreat is a theme based overnight event with games, bible study, crafts, a service project, and more games. This event is open to 5th graders as an introduction to our Youth Group.
Puttin’ a Round
Each summer we ride over to Ocean City to one of the mini golf courses and play a round of “put-put”. After 18 holes we ride to Rita’s.
MS Flick-n-Float
Another highlight of our summer was the MS Float and Flick. We enjoy good food, fellowship and a movie while floating in a pool. It gave new meaning to the “dive-in” theater.
The adult leaders of Christ Youth are constantly looking for new and exciting things to do. Sometimes they will be combined events, HS and MS together, other events will be specific for one age group or the other.
